Finance
lead on directed European Turnkey project where I successfully negotiated the
transition to strategic fillers of over $16 million in component and raw
material inventory. Set up financial model to track usage and billing.

·
Successfully
negotiated the creation and implementation of an online inventory traffic
data-mart for Elizabeth Arden International. This interpretation has already
led to a traffic cost savings of $2 million in its first year.

·
Participated
extensively in the resolution of excess inventory situation immediately following
the worst months of the financial crises in 2008.

·
Delivered
a successful programme that changed the behaviour and attitude of the
international business towards waste and inventory cost overruns using well
structured workshops, learning materials, questions and answers in online
interactive sessions, bi-monthly review sessions and a lot of travelling and
presentations. Using this effort alone I have delivered over USD$6 million in
waste reduction.

Resolved a
long standing issue with core product obsolescence provision valuation and
championed SOX change request proposal to amend existing process. Successful
revision freed up $3.5 million.

·
Assessed
the effectiveness of current DC to DC re-supply strategy and published results
calling for a “natural hedge” against currency fluctuations using local but flexible
resupply tactics. This natural alignment formed between Revenue and sourcing
currency has delivered over $5 million in savings from currency exposure.

·
Re
assessed Freight/Duty budget saving 1 Million Euros and Supply Chain Overhead
allocation strategy saving 300K Euros.

·
Created a
risk assessment strategy for dealing with suppliers failing to meet negotiated
Service Level Agreements. Created and implemented policy’s for chargeback. This
single policy drive is instigating the right behaviour with suppliers with
dramatic improvements in service levels. Managed this with Microsoft excel.

·
Created and
published new model for thinking about operational effectiveness and its
relationship to manufacturing cash flow.

·
De-risked
90% of Supply Chain financial processes by personally redesigning financial
transaction processing and accounting flows and working with IT change
management to implement.

·
Created an
error proof returns process to handle inventory returns and claims from markets
in conjunction with logistics service providers.
